1. Copyright Policy

DivineMates respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of our platform to do the same. DivineMates is a UK-based platform; however, we follow the principles of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) as an internationally recognised framework for handling copyright infringement claims, in addition to our obligations under UK copyright law (the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988).

If you believe that content hosted on DivineMates infringes your copyright, you may submit a written takedown notice using the process described below. Please be aware that submitting a false or misleading takedown notice may expose you to legal liability.

2. Reporting Infringement

To submit a valid takedown notice, please send a written communication to dmca@divinemates.co.uk containing all of the following:

  • Description of the work: A clear description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, or if multiple works are covered, a representative list.
  • URL of the infringing content:The specific URL(s) on DivineMates where the allegedly infringing material is located. General URLs (“the whole site”) are not sufficient.
  • Your contact information: Your full name, postal address, telephone number, and email address.
  • Good faith statement: A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • Accuracy statement: A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
  • Signature: Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is acceptable as an electronic signature).

Send your notice to: dmca@divinemates.co.uk

3. Counter-Notice

If you believe your content was removed in error or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to dmca@divinemates.co.uk. A valid counter-notice must include:

  • Your full name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • Identification of the content that was removed and the URL where it previously appeared.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the content was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, or your local jurisdiction if outside the UK.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice we will notify the original complainant. If no legal action is filed within the applicable time period, we may restore the removed content at our discretion.

4. Repeat Infringers

DivineMates operates a repeat infringer policy. Accounts associated with multiple verified copyright infringement claims will be permanently terminated without refund. We maintain records of all DMCA notices received and actioned.

5. Response Time

We aim to acknowledge all valid takedown notices within 2 business days and to process and act on them within 5 business days. Complex cases or notices requiring additional verification may take longer. We will keep you informed of progress where your contact details have been provided.

Notices that are incomplete, clearly abusive, or submitted in bad faith may be rejected without further correspondence. We reserve the right to seek legal costs in the event a knowingly false notice is submitted.
